Dog owners – if
you must bring your dog to the Park, it must remain in your
car for the duration of your visit.
An exercise area is situated outside the exit gate
and you are welcome to walk your dog here at any point during
your visit. Your dog is not allowed out of your vehicle once
inside the Park.
Warning:
leaving your dog in your vehicle during hot weather
can cause extreme suffering and even death. Please
be aware that dogs can die if left in a car even on
a warm day. In a vehicle, the heat from the
sun is intensified through the glass. Your dog will
pant to try to cool down, which can lead to severe dehydration
and hyperventilation.
Opening a window or leaving a bowl of water is not enough,
so please, when possible, leave your dog at home and
make adequate arrangements for feeding and exercise
needs.
Causing an animal unnecessary suffering is an offence
which can result in a fine and even a ban from owning
animals. If you are aware of an animal in distress,
please call the Scottish SPCA on 03000 999 999.
